June 28, 2023 – TheNewswire – Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY), a leading developer of electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles for commercial passenger service, has received a Special Airworthiness Certificate from the FAA for its first production prototype.
This milestone allows Joby to begin flight testing and moves them closer to FAA certification and large-scale production. The company’s aircraft is set to become the first eVTOL aircraft delivered to a customer under an agreement with the U.S. Air Force.
